FAQ

Thus far these are the questions we've heard the most, so hopefully you'll be able to find the answers here. If not, let me know!

Guest information

What should I wear?
The ceremony is outside on grass, so definitely make sure to wear shoes that won't get stuck.
If you're looking to avoid a certain colour so as not to match the bridesmaids, black's the one to steer away from.

Above all, wear sunscreen! You will be outside for a minimum of an hour during the hottest part of the day, so keep that in mind and please don't let yourself get burned!
What about photos?
Our photographer shoots in digital and we are given the digital negatives afterwards. If there are any photos you want, we can definitely send them to you once we receive the CD. Due to the lighting he uses and the limited time we have after the ceremony, our photographer has requested that guests do not take their own photos while we are doing our after-ceremony shots.
I'm allergic to _____, what can I do?
Gotta love allergies. On the response card we will include a space for you to write down any major food allergies you have so that we can make sure that either the food doesn't include anything that will kill you, or that the ingredients are properly labelled so that you know to stay away from it.

Definitely send Kerry an email at mcgrath.vital@gmail.com if there's something that you're extremely allergic to that you didn't write on the response card. We have some bad allergies in our families, so we'll definitely look out for you.
Will you be doing a receiving line after the ceremony?
No, but we look forward to chatting with everyone at the reception! We will definitely come around to your table during the reception to see everyone.

Mayfair Lakes

What happens if it rains?
If it rains, the ceremony will be held inside the reception room. When you arrive at Eaglequest, there will be a sign directing you where to go.
Where can I park?
There is free parking in front of the club house. Park in any available spot. If for any reason you are unable to drive after the reception, your car will be safe there overnight.

Miscellaneous

Why July 31, 2010?
Kerry's maternal great-grandparents would have been married for 100 years on July 30, 2010, so we chose the day after as a bit of a tribute.

That weekend is also a long weekend, so it gives everyone an extra day off afterwards.
What is engraved inside Richard's wedding ring?
Ah, now that's the $1 million question. We can give you two hints:
1) It is not the date of the wedding
2) It is a lyric from a song by Richard's favourite band.
