The ceremony is outside on grass, so definitely make sure to wear shoes that won't get stuck. The site is surrounded by water, so ladies may want to bring a wrap just in case it's a bit windy as well.

The golf course does have a strict dress code though, so please no denim. We have been told that guests who are wearing denim will be asked to leave the premises.

Above all, wear sunscreen! You will be outside for a minimum of an hour during the hottest part of the day, so keep that in mind and please don't let yourself get burned!

Our photographer shoots in digital and we are given the digital negatives afterwards. If there are any photos you want, we can definitely send them to you once we receive the CD. Due to the lighting he uses and the limited time we have on the ceremony island, our photographer has requested that guests do not take their own photos while we are doing our after-ceremony shots. We will be taking our posed family and friends photos at the reception in order to take advantage of the light that we'll have during that time, so once the ceremony is over feel free to head over into the Greenside Room to chat and mingle.

Nothing. Mayfair Lakes does not allow confetti, rice, rose petals or anything else to be tossed at the bride and groom, so unfortunately you'll have to throttle the urge to throw things at us. We have been told by Mayfair that if anything is thrown, we will incur a financial penalty.

Gotta love allergies. On the response card we will include a space for you to write down any major food allergies you have so that we can make sure that either the food doesn't include anything that will kill you, or that the ingredients are properly labelled so that you know to stay away from it.

If it rains, the ceremony will be held inside the reception room. When you arrive at Mayfair, there will be a sign directing you where to go.

There is free parking in front of the club house. Park in any available spot. If for any reason you are unable to drive after the reception, your car will be safe there overnight.

Kerry's maternal great-grandparents would have been married for 100 years on July 30, 2010, so we chose the day after as a bit of a tribute.

That weekend is also a long weekend, so it gives everyone an extra day off afterwards.
